Spring black bear in Unit 17, hunted three ways. You can sit baits, run Dillon's trained hounds, or spot and stalk if you want the physical challenge, and you can alternate methods through the week.
It is a two-bear unit, and the bears come in many colour phases: brown, black, cinnamon, and blonde. Tags are over the counter, so there is no draw. The second bear carries a $1,000 trophy fee.
On days you are not hunting you can buy a non-resident fishing licence for $108 and fish the Selway River or Moose Creek.

Nine departures: April 15–21, April 23–29, May 2–8, May 11–17, May 19–25, May 27 to June 3, June 5–11, June 13–19, and June 21–27. Seven days with five full days of hunting.
Bush plane flights are not included. A 25% deposit books the hunt. The deposit and the final payment are both non-refundable, and they recommend trip cancellation insurance. Everything you bring is packed on a mule, so gear is capped at one 55 lb soft duffle with no hard cases. There is no phone service or wi-fi in camp.
