Hunting mountain lions with hounds is a time-honoured tradition, and it is how Moose Creek runs its winter season. Dillon is the houndsman. When the hounds are not on a cat you can turn to wolves and bobcats and make it a combination hunt.
The country is the Selway-Bitterroot in Unit 17, fly-in only, in winter. Camp is wall tents with wood stoves and three meals a day.

- 1-on-1, 8 days: December 5 to March 19, from $5,600 per hunter
- 2-on-1, 8 days: December 5 to March 19, from $4,200 per hunter
Ten departures: December 5–12, December 13–20, January 3–10, January 12–19, January 21–28, February 1–8, February 10–17, February 20–27, March 1–8, and March 12–19. Eight days with six full days of hunting.
Bush plane flights are not included. A 25% deposit books the hunt. The deposit and the final payment are both non-refundable, and they recommend trip cancellation insurance. Everything you bring is packed on a mule, so gear is capped at one 55 lb soft duffle with no hard cases. There is no phone service or wi-fi in camp.
