Seven days for Shiras moose in Unit 1, in the Bighorn National Forest, September 1 to October 10 and timed to the rut. From $8,000 per hunter.
This is a hard tag. Non-residents have historically needed 24 or more preference points to draw Unit 1, and applications run January 1 to February 28. Worth planning years ahead of the hunt itself.
A $1,000 deposit books the hunt, non-refundable, with the balance due 30 days out. Prices include 2x1 guiding, airport pick-up at Sheridan, lodging, and food. Wyoming licence fees are not included. Non-hunting companions are $250 per day.
