Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 13 August 2026 · Version 1.0

This policy applies to everything you do on WildHQ and everything you submit to it, including listings, profiles, photographs, video, inquiries, messages, reviews, and offers. If you break it we may remove your content, unpublish your pages, suspend your access, or close your account, with or without notice.

This policy forms part of our Terms of Use.

1.Be who you say you are

Do not:

1.1impersonate another person, business, or organization, or suggest an affiliation you do not have;

1.2list a business you are not authorized to represent, or create an account in someone else's name;

1.3use a false name or contact detail to send an inquiry or a message; or

1.4create accounts to evade a suspension or a removal.

2.Be accurate

Do not:

2.1publish anything false or misleading about a trip, a price, a date, a season, a species, a license, an outcome, an accommodation, or what is included;

2.2publish a price you will not honor, or advertise a discount from a price that was never genuinely charged;

2.3use a photograph that does not depict what it appears to depict, including a photograph of another operation's country, camp, animals, or clients;

2.4claim a license, permit, certification, insurance, or membership you do not hold; or

2.5describe success rates, harvest rates, or catch rates in a way you cannot support.

3.Respect other people's rights

Do not:

3.1publish anything you do not own or have permission to publish, including photographs, video, text, logos, and trademarks;

3.2publish a person's name, photograph, or biography without their permission;

3.3publish anyone's private or personal information; or

3.4publish anything defamatory.

4.Do not misuse inquiries or messages

Do not:

4.1send an inquiry that is not a genuine inquiry about a trip;

4.2use an inquiry form or a message to advertise, solicit, recruit, or promote anything;

4.3if you are an outfitter, submit an inquiry to your own account, or arrange for anyone connected with your business to do so. Inquiries start billing, and an inquiry that is not genuine is not an inquiry;

4.4send automated, repeated, or bulk submissions;

4.5contact someone who has asked you to stop; or

4.6use contact details obtained through WildHQ for anything other than responding to the inquiry they came with, unless that person has separately agreed.

5.Do not take data at scale

Do not:

5.1scrape, crawl, harvest, index, or extract content or data from WildHQ, except as an ordinary visitor or a general-purpose search engine would;

5.2use automated means to access the Service other than as our robots file permits;

5.3compile a database, directory, mailing list, or dataset from WildHQ content; or

5.4use WildHQ content to build or train a competing directory, lead product, or listing service.

6.Do not interfere with the Service

Do not:

6.1attempt to access an account, record, or system you are not authorized to reach;

6.2probe, scan, or test the security of the Service, or circumvent any authentication, rate-limiting, or access control;

6.3upload anything containing malicious code;

6.4place unreasonable load on our systems, or interfere with anyone else's use of them; or

6.5remove, obscure, or alter any notice, label, or attribution we display, including a label identifying content as sponsored or as generated.

7.Do not publish prohibited content

Do not publish anything that:

7.1is unlawful, or promotes unlawful activity, including unlawful take of wildlife, hunting or fishing out of season or without required tags, trespass, baiting or spotlighting where prohibited, or trade in protected species;

7.2promotes cruelty, or gratuitously dwells on the killing of an animal beyond what an honest description of a hunt requires;

7.3is hateful, harassing, or threatening, or targets anyone on the basis of a protected characteristic;

7.4is sexually explicit; or

7.5depicts a person, particularly a child, in a way they have not agreed to.

8.Offers and open dates

Where the Service lets an outfitter offer specific dates, or lets a traveler respond, do not:

8.1post a date, a rate, or availability you cannot honor;

8.2respond to an offer you have no intention of taking up;

8.3coordinate with anyone to manipulate a price or a response; or

8.4use the feature to advertise something other than the trip it concerns.

9.Reviews

Where the Service lets you publish a review or a rating, do not:

9.1review a trip you did not take;

9.2review your own business, or a competitor's;

9.3offer, request, or accept anything of value in exchange for a review, or in exchange for removing one; or

9.4publish a review that is not your honest experience.

10.Enforcement

10.1We may investigate suspected breaches and may remove or unpublish content while we do.

10.2We decide what breaches this policy, and our decision is final for the purposes of the Service. We are not obliged to review content before it is published, or to explain a removal.

10.3Where a breach involves inquiry integrity or payment, we may reverse a charge, cancel a subscription, or withhold a lead.

10.4We may report unlawful activity to the authorities and cooperate with them.

10.5Repeated breaches lead to closure of an account.
